ITANAGAR, Jun 26: The Arunachal Pradesh Engineering Service Association (APESA) has expressed grief and sorrow over the demise of architect Kento Ori recently.

Late Ori was born in Yigi-Kaum Village, under Kodum circle of West Siang district and completed his schooling at Kendriya Vidyalaya, Naharlagun, and passed AISSCE in 1985. He earned his Bachelor of Architecture degree in 1991 from the School of Architecture and Planning, Anna University in Chennai. He later joined the Public Works Department (PWD) of Arunachal Pradesh.

He is survived by his wife, Dr Mipu Sora Ori, and their three sons.

APESA, in its condolence message to the bereaved family, remembered late Ori as a sincere, honest, and dedicated Architect of the State, who was also a dedicated social worker of the State.

‘His contributions to architectural design in the PWD from 1991 were remarkable in the creation of the state’s infrastructural development’, it added.

‘His premature demise has caused an irreparable loss to the architectural and engineering fraternity in particular, and to the State of Arunachal Pradesh in general. The vacuum of his absence will be long felt in the fraternity and society,’ the condolence message further reads.
