ITANAGAR, Jun 29: The Arunachal Pradesh Staff Selection Board (APSSB) has made some modification to its earlier notice regarding Advertisement No. 09/2020, dated January 21, 2020, for the recruitment of Head Constable (RT), Head Constable (Telecom) and Head Constable Driver (Male).

The latest update clarifies and modifies the categories of candidates that will be permitted to participate in the Physical Standard Test/Physical Efficiency Test (PST/PET).

According to the corrigendum issued by the board on Saturday only the candidates who fall under the below mentioned category will be allowed to appear in the tests.

1) Candidates with Post Code Discrepancy: Candidates who downloaded their admit cards and reported to PTC, Banderdewa but were unable to participate in the PST/PET due to a postcode discrepancy in their admit cards.

2) Candidates with Incomplete Postcodes on Admit Cards: Candidates who reported to PTC, Banderdewa and were unable to participate in the PST/PET because one of their applied post codes was not mentioned in the schedule on their admit cards.

3) Candidates with Separate Admit Cards: Candidates who applied separately for multiple posts, were issued separate admit cards, reported to PTC, Banderdewa, but did not carry the respective admit cards on the day of the scheduled PST/PET.

The notification emphasizes that only candidates falling into these three categories will be permitted to take the PST/PET on July 3. The reporting time is set at 6:30 am and the gates will close at 8:30 am on the day of the test.

It may be mentioned here that these tests were initially conducted at the Police Training Centre (PTC) in Banderdewa from June 6 to 24 and the results of the same have been declared as well.

The rescheduling of the test has raised several concerns among the candidates with some even questioning the seriousness of the APPSB in conducting examinations and the negligence of the candidates who did not come for the initial test.
