ITANAGAR, Jun 30: Due to continuous downpour for the last one week, all the rivers in Namsai district and Wakro circle of Lohit district are flowing above the danger level.

According to a flood report issued by the Water Resources Division, Namsai, the Kamlang river has entered into the Barreng river due to heavy flow, affecting all the villages in the left bank of Kamlang river including Alubari and Napotia.

Additionally, the Tengapani river has entered into the Tiyang river due to overflow of its basin.

The Jengthu and Noa-Dehing river are also flowing above the danger level.

The department has urged the Namsai district administration and circle administration of Wakro to take precautionary measures by instructing the villagers to be on high alert and not to venture near the river banks.
