BOMDILA, July 1: Home Minister Mama Natung on Monday asked enforcement agencies to implement the three new criminal laws in letter and spirit for the benefit of the general public.

Speaking after inaugurating an awareness program on new criminal laws at the SP’s conference hall here, Natung highlighted the key aspects of the laws.

He thanked the government and lawmakers, who worked day and night, to bring out the scientific laws in consonance with currently reality of the society.

Natung exuded hope that focus on scientific and evidence-based investigation will result in effective prosecution in future.

West Kameng deputy commissioner Akriti Sagar disclosed that executive magistrates are being imparted training on the new laws.

West Kameng superintendent of police Sudhanshu Dhama highlighted the salient features of the three new laws.

He also disclosed about the extensive training provided to all levels of law enforcement agencies to ensure the efficient implementation of the new acts.

The event was attended by Law Minister Kento Jini, MLAs Likha Soni, Nikh Kamin, Nyabi Jini Dirchi and Ealing Tallang and others.
