DAPORIJO, Aug 12: Minister of Textile and Handicraft, Industries, Nyato Dukam, chaired a crucial coordination meeting on Monday with the heads of departments in Daporijo, alongside Daporijo MLA Taniya Soki, Dumporijo MLA Rode Bui, and Nacho MLA Nakap Nalo.
The meeting focused on assessing the progress and challenges faced by various departments, with the objective of fostering growth and development in Upper Subansiri district.
Dukam emphasized the importance of addressing complex challenges head-on, urging department heads to engage in innovative and collaborative problem-solving. He assured that the MLAs would work together to address the issues raised, with regular coordination meetings planned to monitor progress and explore new opportunities.
Nalo underscored the need for regular field visits by department officials to better understand the ground realities. He called for streamlining service delivery and maintaining high standards of professional ethics.
Soki echoed these sentiments, emphasizing the importance of strong coordination among departments and with MLAs to better serve the public.
Bui expressed confidence that coordinated efforts between the four MLAs and the departments would steer the district towards holistic development. He stressed the need for accountability in the education, health, and public security sectors.
The meeting also addressed absenteeism among officials, the implementation of government welfare schemes, the condition of health centers, and other key issues. Upper Subansiri deputy commissioner Tasso Gambo pledged full administrative support to the departments.
In a separate event, Dukam, along with Soki and Bui, flagged-off two Advanced Life Support Ambulances at Tadak Dulom district hospital.
The ambulances were donated by the National Hydroelectric Power Corporation (NHPC), as a part of their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative. Dukam expressed gratitude to NHPC and highlighted the importance of these ambulances in enhancing emergency medical services in the district.
Dukam also expressed optimism that NHPC would continue to engage in such initiatives, emphasizing the potential benefits of the ongoing 1605 MW Subansiri Upper Hydroelectric Project for the district and the state.
