NAMSAI, Jan 18: A two-day national workshop on the 'Right to Education' will be held on January 20-21 at the Arunachal University of Studies (AUS) campus in Namsai. The event, organized by the faculties of Arts and Social Sciences, Legal Studies, and Education at AUS, is sponsored by the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), Government of India.
The workshop aims to promote awareness, build capacity, and support the effective implementation of free and compulsory education for all children. It seeks to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of the provisions under the Right to Education (RTE) Act.
Resource persons from various fields will share their expertise during the event, and representatives from the NHRC will also participate. The inaugural session will feature the vice-chancellor of AUS, DS Hernwal.
Around 200 participants are expected to attend the workshop, which will cover topics such as inclusive education, child-centred teaching, infrastructure standards, and the role of communities in school management. The initiative aims to ensure access to quality education in a safe and inclusive environment for every child.
