Changlang, Jan 22: The team of Arunachal Pradesh State Commission for Women (APSCW), during a visit to Changlang district, visited Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya at Maganton under Raja Nagar and interacted with the young girls.

APSCW chairperson Kenjum Pakam while interacting with the young girls explained the power and functions of the Commission and briefed them on the one stop centers and women helpline in the district.

She also shared the marriageable age of both girls and boys to be 21 years old. Until then every student has to be vigilant and focus on their studies to become successful in life, she added.

The team also visited Sudhar Ghar, de-addiction center at Bordumsa.

The center consisted of a doctor, counselor, three nurses and staff. The infrastructure is well equipped with the availability of an isolation room facility for any communicable disease. Both the school and center is under the supervision of RK Mossang Memorial Society, a press release informed here on Wednesday.
