Tawang, Jan 29: The District Level Monitoring Committee (DLMC) meeting for the quarter ending December 2024 was convened in Tawang district, on Wednesday.
The meeting also assessed the progress of projects under the District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (DISHA) and the implementation of the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) scheme.
Chaired by in-charge Tawang deputy commissioner Sangey Wangmu Mosobi, the meeting was attended by SP Dr DW Thongon, Kyidphel EAC Tsering Choden, and all executive engineers and department heads responsible for various developmental initiatives in the district.
In her address, the deputy commissioner expressed gratitude to the officials for their participation despite the extreme cold and the ongoing Torgya Dungyur festival. She urged departments to highlight any issues requiring intervention from the DC’s office and to provide justifications for project delays.
She emphasized that the meeting aimed not only to review progress but also to resolve challenges related to DISHA and BBBP schemes, ensuring smooth execution for the benefit of concerned officers.
The meeting featured detailed presentations by various departments, starting with PWD Lungla and concluding with a report from the Deputy Director of Industries, who provided insights into state flagship programs and MLALAD schemes.
In her concluding remarks, the DC directed all implementing agencies to maintain quality standards, adhere to project timelines, and submit utilization certificates to the government promptly.
The meeting served as a vital platform for reviewing developmental progress and addressing challenges to ensure the effective execution of government schemes in the district.
