Rono Hills, Jan 31: Rajiv Gandhi University (RGU) hosted the Winter School on Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Latest Technologies (AI-ML&LT-2025) from January 20 to 31, concluding with the Technology Conclave 2025 on the final day.

The two-week programme, held at the Smart Theatre of the Computer Science and Engineering Department, brought together researchers, experts, and students to discuss advancements in AI and machine learning. The first week covered mathematics, statistics, and foundational AI concepts, while the second week focused on Natural Language Processing, Recommender Systems, and AI applications in education and healthcare.

Speakers included Badri Narayan Patro from Microsoft, Vinay Kumar Verma from Amazon, and Padma Shri awardee Uddhab K Bharali, among others. The programme featured interactive sessions, practical demonstrations, and a quiz competition on January 25.

The Technology Conclave 2025, held as the concluding event, included keynote addresses, poster and idea presentations, and the Young Technocrat Award. Among those present were Dean of Engineering Prof. Utpal Bhattacharjee and industry professionals, discussing technological innovation and sustainability.

The sessions were also made accessible online through Google Meet, allowing for wider participation. The event was part of RGU’s initiative to bridge the gap between academia and industry and encourage innovation in emerging technologies.
