Itanagar, Feb 4: The results of the recent Arunachal Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (APTET) conducted by the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) on February 2, paints a grim picture of aspirants.

The APTET comprises two papers—Paper I for aspiring Primary Teachers (Classes 1 to 5) and Paper II for Upper Primary Teachers (Classes 6 to 8).

Previously conducted by the Directorate of Elementary Education, the responsibility for organizing the examination has now been entrusted to SCERT, Itanagar, as part of efforts to enhance the efficiency and quality of the evaluation process.

To improve transparency in the evaluation process, candidates were provided with duplicate copies of their OMR answer sheets and were given access to scanned copies online using their registration credentials.

According to SCERT, out of 1,797 candidates registered for Paper I, 1,371 appeared for the exam, with 244 passing, reflecting a pass percentage of 17.80 percent.

For Paper II, 2,732 candidates registered, of which 2,230 appeared, and 835 passed, recording a pass percentage of 37.44 percent.

The results of the examination were declared within 48 hours of the examination. Candidates can access their results and the answer key on the official websites https://online.arunachaltet2022.in and https://scertarunachal.nic.in.

The SCERT has expressed gratitude to all stakeholders, including candidates, examination staff, magistrates, and police personnel, for their cooperation in ensuring the smooth conduct of the examination.
