Itanagar, Feb 5: Arunachal Akademi of Fine Arts (AAFA) president Jackie Bodo has been selected to represent Arunachal Pradesh at a national-level painting workshop organized by the Indian School of Business (ISB) in Mohali, Punjab.

The seven-day workshop, scheduled to be held from February 9 to 15 will bring together leading artists from across the country.

Bodo had earlier represented Arunachal at a national workshop organized by IIT Varanasi in 2019.

Hailing from Bodo Village in Sawa Circle under Chayangtajo in East Kameng district, Bodo completed his Master of Fine Arts from Indira Kala Sangit Vishwavidyalaya, Chhattisgarh, in 2017.

He has been actively involved in the promotion of fine arts and currently serves as the president of AAFA, which was established in 1994.

Chief Minister Pema Khandu has congratulated Bodo on his selection.

“Your dedication to the arts continues to showcase Arunachal’s rich cultural heritage on the national stage. I wish you great success in this remarkable opportunity,” Khandu said.
