Tezu, Feb 5: Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) chairman Prof Pradip Lingfa on Tuesday urged students to develop confidence and maintain peace of mind while preparing for competitive examinations.
He encouraged them to uphold civilisational values, discipline, and effective time management.
Prof Lingfa was speaking at an outreach programme organized by the APPSC in collaboration with the college’s Career Guidance and Counselling Cell at the Indira Gandhi Government College (IGGC) here.
The event aimed at guiding students on facing competitive exams.
As a token of guidance, the commission chairman presented a printed volume on career counselling to the college authority for student reference.
APPSC member Koj Tari shared insights on career development and urged students to undergo psychological counselling and stress management to enhance their exam preparedness.
He also elaborated on career opportunities in the defence sector and stressed the benefits of National Cadet Corps (NCC) for aspirants aiming to join the armed forces.
Earlier, IGGC principal Dr Kangki Megu, in his welcome address, highlighted the multifaceted challenges faced by students in career development and lauded the role of APPSC in streamlining the competitive examination system in the state.
Dr Jeevantu Tikhak, assistant professor and coordinator of the career guidance cell, coordinated the programme, which concluded with a formal vote of thanks by assistant professor N Lingi.
The event saw enthusiastic participation from students and faculty members.
