Pasighat, Feb 10: Free health camps were organized by Siang Trust in collaboration with Sewa Bharati Purvanchal and Dhanawantari Sewa Yatra across several villages near the Indo-China border.

The camps served communities in the Monigong circle of Shi-Yomi district and the Tuting circle of Upper Siang district.

In Shi-Yomi district, health camps held in Monigong, Karo, and Tato villages provided care to 203 patients. Similarly, in Upper Siang district, camps in Ngaming, Singging, Migging, and Ayangging villages benefitted 185 patients.

Services included free blood pressure checks, sugar level tests, and distribution of medicines. Many residents, including children from these remote areas, received much-needed medical attention during the camps.

Specialist and general doctors from across India, including Dr Devesh Kumar, Dr S Mittal, Dr Anuj, Dr Pushpendra, Dr Raunak Kumar, and Dr Narayan Kotwal, actively participated in the initiative alongside members of Siang Trust.

The Dhanawantari Sewa Yatra organizes free health camps annually in remote regions of Arunachal Pradesh.

According to a statement here on Monday, additional camps are being planned for the coming months to extend support to more underserved communities.
