Itanagar, Feb 14: The Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) on Wednesday released its annual examination calendar for 2025, outlining the tentative schedule for various recruitment tests under the state government.
APPSC secretary Parul Gaur Mittal stated that the calendar includes ten major examinations across different departments, specifying the months in which they are expected to commence. She further added that the exact dates and stages of each examination will be notified at the time of advertisement for the respective posts.
As part of a key reform, the Commission has decided to conduct a common examination for Assistant Engineer and Junior Engineer positions across various works departments. The move is aimed at reducing the time taken for conducting examinations and ensuring early filling of vacancies.
Among the major examinations planned for the year, the written examination for the post of Inspector (Legal Metrology & Consumer Affairs) is scheduled for February, followed by the Laboratory Assistant (Civil) written examination in March.
The Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Combined Competitive Examination (Mains) is expected to take place in April, along with career advancement placements for Assistant Professors and Lecturers.
The common Assistant Engineer examination is set to be conducted between May and June, while the Post Graduate Teacher examination is scheduled for June. The viva-voce round for the APPSC Combined Competitive Examination is expected to take place in July.
The Common Junior Engineer examinations for various work departments are scheduled for August while the ADO/HDO/VO/DDO/FO examinations for agriculture and its allied departments will be held in September.
The examination for trained graduate teachers (Secondary Level) will be held in November.
Mittal clarified that the list of examinations in the calendar is not exhaustive and that the Commission may take up additional recruitment processes if complete requisitions are received from the concerned departments.
She urged aspirants to refer to the notified calendar for planning and preparation.
