Itanagar, Feb 18: As a part of the Operation Dawn, Police on Monday arrested a woman drug peddler from Niya Colony in Banderdewa and recovered heroin weighing 34.72 grams from her possession.
Acting on a tip off, a police team led by Naharlagun SDPO Rishi Longdo conducted a house search at Niya Colony, Banderdewa, Naharlagun SP Mihin Gambo said on Tuesday.
During the search, the police recovered three pouches containing heroin, weighing 34.72 grams concealed inside a soap case in the bedroom.
The accused, identified as Saheeda Khatoon (40) was arrested from her rented accommodation, and a case was registered at Banderdewa police station under Section 21 (b) of the NDPS Act, the SP added.
