Itanagar, Mar 1: The Arunachal State Rural Livelihoods Mission (ArSRLM) recently conducted a comprehensive review meeting with its empanelled project implementing agencies (PIAs) to enhance employment opportunities for rural youth.

The discussion centered on evaluating the current placement status of candidates trained under the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY) and formulating strategies to improve job placement outcomes across the state.

The meeting was chaired by CEO-cum-state mission director Sangeeta Yirang, and COO (Skills) Ruzing Bellai, who emphasised that while skill training is crucial, the true success of the DDU-GKY program lies in achieving effective placement outcomes for trained candidates.

To recognize and encourage the efforts of PIAs, agencies that demonstrated satisfactory job placement efforts were honored during the session. This recognition aims to not only appreciate their contributions but also inspire other agencies to strengthen their placement initiatives.

ArSRLM reiterated its commitment to reinforcing skill development and employment linkages to ensure sustainable livelihood opportunities for rural youth. The mission remains dedicated to transforming rural poor youth into an economically independent and globally relevant workforce.
