Itanagar, Mar 3: The Arunachal Photography Club (APC), in collaboration with the Department of Youth Affairs, Government of Arunachal Pradesh (GoAP), is set to host the second edition of “The Platform 2.0” on March 7-8 at the State Banquet Hall in Itanagar.

Inspired by the state government's ‘Year of Youth’ budget announcement, the event themed “Empowering Youths Towards Atmanirbhar Arunachal” aims to empower young people by providing avenues for self-employment and skill development. It will serve as a platform for under-rated artists, filmmakers, adventure experts, and entrepreneurs to showcase their work and explore unconventional livelihood opportunities.

The initiative will also highlight youth-centric government schemes such as the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Swavalamban Yojana (DDUSY), Arunachal Pradesh Innovation and Investment Park (APIIP), Atmanirbhar Krishi Yojana (ANKY), and Atmanirbhar Bagwani Yojana (ANBY). Beneficiaries of these schemes will share their success stories to inspire unemployed youth.

Key resource persons will conduct sessions across various fields. On Day 1, speakers include Tania Priya (Cakes & Bakes), Kenyir Ete and Ajay Basumatary (Kaken Décor), Adv. Senya Lowang (Misty Fall Valley Tea), Tanang Sorang (Paragliding), Kishon Teksheng (Rafting), as well as officials from the Department of Youth Affairs, Mete FP Pvt. Ltd., and AIO Pvt Ltd.

Day 2 will feature discussions led by Moge Riba (Photography), Lobsang S. Phalichipu (Zewa Himalayan Trekkers), Linkam Markia (Itamoto), Bini Nyickyor (Ninur Tech Pvt. Ltd.), and representatives from the Skill Development & Entrepreneurship Department, GoAP.

An event report will be compiled to document insights and feedback, aiding the government in refining policies to enhance youth-centric initiatives.

The Arunachal Photography Club, a registered NGO since 2018, has been actively working towards tourism promotion and youth empowerment under the motto ‘Divided by Profession, United by Passion’.
