Longding, Mar 5: A healthy baby girl was safely delivered inside a 108 Ambulance, thanks to the swift and skilled response of Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Pheloi Wangsu from EMRI Green Health Services, which provides free emergency ambulance services across Arunachal Pradesh.
The ambulance was transporting a pregnant woman from Tissa town to the district hospital at Longding on Tuesday when she suddenly experienced severe labour pain. Without hesitation, EMT Wangsu stepped into action, demonstrating exceptional precision and care to successfully assist in the delivery of the baby inside the moving ambulance.
Both the mother and newborn were reported to be in good health and were later admitted to the hospital for postnatal care.
The parents of the newborn, along with hospital staff, expressed their heartfelt gratitude and appreciation for Wangsu’s dedication.
The tireless commitment of EMTs and pilots of EMRI Green Health Services continues to be commendable, as they work around the clock to provide free emergency medical transportation across the state.
The 108 free emergency ambulance service, launched on June 21, 2021, by chief minister Pema Khandu under EMRI Green Health Services (formerly GVK EMRI), has since served over 26,000 beneficiaries across the state, proving to be a lifeline for countless individuals in need.
