Aalo, Mar 6: The St Francis de Sales (SFS) College, Aalo, is all set to host the district-level ‘Viksit Bharat Youth Parliament’ on March 15 and 17 providing a platform for young voices from the districts of West Siang, Lepa Rada, Shi Yomi, and Upper Subansiri.
The event is open to students and youth aged 18 to 25 years, aiming to encourage discussions on national development and governance.
An organizing committee has been formed for the smooth conduct of the event, with college principal Dr Fr Jose Karipadathu as chairman, NYKS district youth officer Pawan Kumar Rav as secretary and NSS programme officer Kenli Ete as the nodal officer, along with the staff of SFS College, Aalo.
Interested candidates must register on the My Bharat portal and upload a one-minute speech video on the topic “What does Viksit Bharat mean to you?” by March 9 next.
A screening committee will oversee the selection process on March 15, with around 150 youth expected to participate. The top 10 candidates will qualify for the state-level youth parliament.
