Itanagar, Mar 17: Continuing its fight against drug menace, Arunachal Pradesh police on Monday arrested a woman drug peddler and recovered 63.6 grams of heroin from her possession, police said.

Acting on inputs, a police team led by Naharlagun police station officer in-charge Krishnendu Dev conducted a raid at the house of Enime Kena Mihu (31), located in Panchayat Colony, Naharlagun, SP Mihin Gambo said.

He said the accused is a permanent resident of Anini in Dibang Valley.

Police recovered 25 vials containing heroin weighing 32.9 grams including plastic vials, one plastic container with heroin weighing 30.7 grams and a container, and 42 empty vials, a red plastic container, two used syringes, and three empty cigarette packets.

Police said Mihu admitted to purchasing the contraband from Assam for personal consumption and peddling.

A case under Sections 21 (b),27 and 29 of the NDPS Act has been registered against the accused, the SP added.
