Yachuli, Apr 4: In a bid to boost digital governance and streamline delivery of citizen-centric services, the Keyi Panyor district administration and police jointly launched a digital service platform, ‘Keyi Panyor Suvidha’, here on Friday.
The platform, which aims to provide seamless access to essential government services through WhatsApp, was inaugurated in the presence of deputy commissioner Shweta Nagarkoti Mehta, Superintendent of Police Angad Mehta and heads of various departments.
The WhatsApp-based initiative is designed to reduce bureaucratic delays and bring government services closer to citizens. It allows users to access services such as Police Character Certificate, Police NOC for Tender, Birth Certificate, Permanent Residential Certificate (PRC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) Certificate, Inner Line Permit, and Income Certificate, among others, from the comfort of their homes.
Speaking at the launch, the DC said the platform is a step towards transparent, efficient, and citizen-friendly governance.
“The aim is to make governance citizen-centric and eliminate the inconvenience caused by repeated visits to the DC office for basic services,” she said.
The SP noted that the district, being newly established, faces several challenges in its formative years, and technology can play a pivotal role in overcoming them.
“This marks a next-generation digital reform to bring governance not just to the doorstep but to the citizen’s fingertips,” he said.
The administration urged residents to make use of the platform by sending a simple “Hi” message to the official WhatsApp number — 9405456923 — to initiate access to the services.
The initiative is expected to reduce paperwork, expedite service delivery, and provide a hassle-free experience to citizens.
