Aalo, Apr 5: Arunachal Pradesh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board (APB&OCWWB) chairman Rolen Dagam on Saturday inaugurated the office of the All Arunachal Pradesh Labour Union (AAPLU) West Siang district unit at Aalo.
Speaking at the inaugural event, Dagam urged labour leaders to utilize the new office effectively for the welfare of the labour and workers’ community. He congratulated the workers on the enhancement of monthly salaries for contingency and casual workers, announced by the state government under the leadership of chief minister Pema Khandu.
Dagam appealed to the workers to rededicate themselves to the cause of the state's infrastructure development and the broader welfare of the labour community. He further encouraged unorganised sector workers to register with the Labour Board to avail of benefits provided under existing rules and regulations.
The inaugural programme was attended by All Arunachal Pradesh Labour Union president Dana Tadu, chief advisor TH Cherom, and other labour leaders from the state and West Siang district.
