Itanagar, Apr 21: The third edition of the Piimey Giidi 2025 cricket tournament, organised by the Adi Bane Kebang Youth Wing Papum Pare, concluded on Sunday at Ganga Basti Ground with Capital Yameng Cricket Club (CYCC) emerging as champions.
CYCC defeated Jia Cricket Club Itanagar (JCCI) in the final match to claim the tournament title. Sange Pertin of CYCC was named ‘Man of the Match’, while Mihun Langkam of JCCI was adjudged ‘Man of the Tournament’.
The prize for the ‘Best Disciplined Player’ went to Lobo Jamoh of YOKSIK Cricket Club, and JCCI was recognised as the ‘Best Disciplined Team’ of the tournament.
The final match was attended by the manager of the Agriculture Marketing Board and general secretary of the Solung Festival Celebration Committee ICR 2025, Akeng Nijo.
In his address, Nijo praised the players for displaying discipline and sportsmanship throughout the tournament. He also urged the youth to stay away from drugs and preserve traditional Adi cultural values while embracing modernity.
The tournament was conducted under the chairmanship of advocate president of the Adi Bane Kebang Youth Wing Papum Pare, James Messar.
