Mariyang, Apr 21: In a proactive move to enhance environmental hygiene, the Mariyang Area Youth Association (MAYA), in collaboration with the urban development & housing department on Monday, launched a dustbin installation program across Mariyang township in Upper Siang district of Arunachal Pradesh.
The initiative, supported by community leaders including Mariyang additional deputy commissioner Nongkong Borang, zilla parishad member Bojing Bitin, and assistant engineer Todol Tayeng, saw the installation of 40 strategically placed dustbins across markets, roadsides, schools, and other public areas to encourage responsible waste disposal.
MAYA called on the residents of Mariyang to actively support and take ownership of the initiative, aiming to build a greener and healthier township for future generations.
