Pasighat, Apr 26: Siang Royal Academy, Bachelor of Education College, Pasighat, conducted a social service cleanliness drive at Komlighat on Friday to promote community awareness on the importance of maintaining a clean environment.

Students, trainees, and faculty members participated in the initiative, clearing accumulated garbage from the riverbank area, which is known for its natural scenic beauty. The drive aimed to highlight the environmental and social benefits of cleanliness among community members.

Additional deputy commissioner Tatting Pertin and executive engineer of Pasighat Municipal Corporation Tadar Tarang supervised the drive. Pertin appreciated the efforts of the participants and emphasised the need for regular cleanliness initiatives by educational institutions to raise public awareness and help position Pasighat as a tourist destination.

He also acknowledged the role played by Aroty Padung, chairman of Siang Royal Academy, T Panyang, member of the College Management Committee, principal Dr P Chakrabarty, and faculty members in organising the initiative.
