NAMSAI, Apr 30: Chief Secretary Manish Gupta on Wednesday convened a review meeting at the Deputy Commissioner's Conference Hall here to assess the progress of ongoing developmental projects in the district.

During the meeting, Gupta stressed the need to develop a comprehensive action plan to address drug abuse and reduce opium cultivation in the region. He acknowledged the challenges faced in project implementation and assured the administration of necessary support to overcome them.

Highlighting the importance of environmental and ecological conservation, Gupta said a cultural shift was required to promote sustainable practices. He emphasised the role of children in fostering long-term change and advocated for early education to encourage stewardship of nature.

Reiterating the state government’s development vision, Gupta urged all stakeholders to work consistently at the grassroots level to realise the goal of making Arunachal Pradesh one of the most progressive states in the country.

Earlier in the day, the chief secretary participated in a morning cycling session through Namsai, accompanied by senior government officials.
