Dirang, May 2: A three-day hands-on training programme on value addition of yak and mithun milk products concluded on Wednesday at the ICAR-National Research Centre on Yak in Dirang, West Kameng.

Held from April 28 to 30, the training was attended by members of the Jomlo Mongku Mithun Farmer Federation and focused on developing skills related to milk processing and product diversification.

As part of the initiative, ICAR-NRC Yak director Mihir Sarkar handed over a milk cream separator to the federation to support its efforts in value addition and improve production capabilities.

The programme aimed to equip farmers with practical knowledge and tools to enhance income through processing and marketing of indigenous dairy products derived from yak and mithun milk, both of which are integral to the region's traditional livestock practices.
