Pasighat, May 4: East Siang deputy commissioner Tayi Taggu, during a visit to the Industrial Growth Centre at Niglok on Sunday, emphasised the importance of effective waste management and pollution control across local industries.
He also reviewed ongoing construction at the Sainik School and pledged administrative support for its development.
Accompanied by SDO Olak Apang and EACs Mum Messar and Yamo Tamut, the DC inspected the Sainik School campus, where he expressed satisfaction with the progress and discussed key issues with Principal Cmdr Praveen Kumar Pola.
He assured the school of full cooperation from the district administration.
Later, during visits to the Patanjali Palm Oil factory and Atterson Alloys Industry, the DC was briefed by factory officials on the steps being taken to meet environmental standards.
The management reported implementing pollution control technologies and monitoring air and water quality.
While acknowledging these efforts, Taggu advised further improvement in waste sorting, recycling, and disposal to minimise environmental impact.
