Naharlagun, Jun 10: The state unit of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) marked its 27th foundation day on Tuesday with a strong message of organisational revitalisation and fresh appointments to boost party leadership and outreach.

At the event, state president and Yachuli MLA Toko Tatung announced key appointments.

Bordumsa-Diyun MLA Nikh Kamin has been appointed as the state working president, Datik Ratan as vice president, and Lekang MLA Likha Soni and Kokar Ronya as general secretaries of the state unit, respectively.

Tatung in his address stressed the need to rejuvenate the party’s grassroots structure and urged workers to uphold responsibility, discipline, and commitment to the NCP’s values.

MLAs Kamin and Soni reaffirmed their dedication to the party's core ideals and pledged to work collectively for its growth and the welfare of people, particularly at the grassroots level.

The occasion was also marked by a congratulatory message from NCP national working president Praful Patel, who lauded the contributions of party members over the past 27 years.

“Our party has always stood for national unity, democratic values and the upliftment of every section of society,” Patel said, underlining the NCP’s enduring commitment to constitutional principles and social justice.

The celebration not only honored the party’s legacy but also highlighted a renewed pledge to inclusive development and democratic ideals.
