Itanagar, Jun 12: The Arunachal State Rural Livelihoods Mission (ArSRLM) on Thursday organised an orientation workshop for prospective Project Implementing Agencies (PIAs) under the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY) 2.0 at its office here.
The workshop aimed to familiarise participating organisations with key features of the revamped DDU-GKY 2.0 scheme, including the process for obtaining a Permanent Registration Number (PRN), protocols for project proposal submissions, and the life cycle of projects under the new guidelines.
Ten organisations from various sectors attended the workshop, including FlyWings Simulators Training Center Limited, All India Education Health and Social Development Council, and Topu Bui Multipurpose Welfare Society. The session was designed to improve understanding of the DDU-GKY framework, particularly among local entities previously unacquainted with the programme.
The workshop was held under the guidance of Sangeeta Yirang, CEO-cum-State Mission Director of ArSRLM, and Ruzing Bellai, Chief Operating Officer (Skills). Technical inputs were provided by Shashank Gahlot, Programme Manager at Ernst & Young LLP. Nabam Ompi, State Mission Manager (MPB), coordinated the event.
As part of the proceedings, ArSRLM signed a non-financial Memorandum of Understanding with the Skill Development Network (Wadhwani Foundation). Facilitated by Ernst & Young LLP, the collaboration seeks to promote digital and blended learning tools for enhancing the employability of youth trained under DDU-GKY.
Officials said the orientation workshop marks a step toward strengthening the skilling ecosystem in the state by expanding engagement with stakeholders and enabling a wider pool of PIAs to contribute to skill development and employment generation.
