Constitute task force to address challenges of border areas: Niti Ayog VC
ITANAGAR, Oct 23: Niti Ayog vice chairman Dr Rajiv Kumar today suggested that state government ‘must’ constitute a task force to address the challenge of border areas ‘which deserve highest priority.’
The Niti Ayog vice chairman was addressing an interactive session at Raj Bhavan here with the governor BD Mishra, , first lady Neelam Misra, chief secretary Shakuntala D Gamlin, eminent writer Dr YD Thongchi and IFCSAP president Dr Ligu Tacho amongst other.
He also suggested for Free Trade Agreement to strengthen Act East Policy with Myanmar as a transit point, and emphasised on digital mobile banking, organic farming, tourism, hydel projects and reinforcing social sectors such as health and education, which he said are key for inclusive growth.
Earlier, defining the parameters of the interactive session, the governor BD Mishra said that while striving with the Prime Minister’s vision of ‘Sab Ke Saat, Sab Ka Vikas’, the State must be focus on security, connectivity and communication, transparency and proper use of fund for inclusive growth.
Stressing on proper and time bound implementation of welfare projects and programmes, the governor said that problems of the last man standing in the queue must be addressed and the person should be benefited.
Mishra also advised the ‘Think Tank’ of the State to focus on how Arunachal Pradesh will be in 2022. It must plan and execute accordingly, he added.
On the occasion, three meritorious tribal students – Nabam Dojik, Remi Ado, and Tana Mary – of government higher secondary school, Naharalagun were also felicitated.
