Felix flags off audio visual publicity van
ITANAGAR, Jan 12: Information and public relations minister Bamang Felix today flagged off the audio visual publicity van from the civil secretariat here.
The van is meant to disseminate information on the government’s programmes and policies to the remote corners of the state.
Terming the introduction of the special audio visual publicity van as historic, Felix said it would provide an impetus and fillip to the government to efficiently disseminate information to the people.
Earlier in the absence of such facility in the state, information on most development programmes did not percolate down to the needy people, Felix said, assuring introduction of more such vans in the future.
Felix maintained that the state was forging ahead steadily in the path of unprecedented development in all spheres under the dynamic leadership of chief minister Pema Khandu.
Praising the effort of the IPR department, chief secretary Satya Gopal said it that the launch of the van is a clear sign of Arunachal rising.
He said the state government has initiated various important steps under the leadership of the chief minister to accelerate the pace of development in the state.
Gopal said that the state government is making an honest effort to bring the administration closer to the people.
He said that it was the bounden duty of all the government departments to ensure steady and timely flow of information to the rural people, who are the real target groups and beneficiaries of the government schemes.
Earlier, IPR secretary Sonam Chombay exuded hope that the flagging off of the van would help in proper dissemination of information to the people.
He said the basic objective of introducing the van was to generate awareness among the people on various flagship programmes of the government through audio visual medium.
