‘West Kameng one of the best performing districts’
BOMDILA, Dec 6: West Kameng is one of the best performing districts in the state in implementation of key centrally sponsored schemes and CMs flagship programmes, said IT special secretary, Prince Dhawan.
Addressing government officials during a daylong ‘Sankalp Se Siddhi Tak- New India Manthan,’ programme at Bomdila today, Dhawan, however, advised them not to be complacent.
Saying that the bar needs to be raised, he said every department and individual concerned should begin thinking out of the box and walk the proverbial extra mile, if the benefits of various welfare schemes of the Centre and the state governments are to reach the common people.
Dhawan, who is also Itanagar capital complex DC, also dwelt at length on the various features of the Sankalp Se Siddhi Tak initiative of the government.
On the occasion, he also highlighted about the Digital Initiatives of Arunachal (DIA).
He exuded hope that for the benefit and convenience of the people, the IT & e-governance initiatives launched by the state government in Itanagar will be implemented in the districts for easy, hassle free and paperless governance.
Chief advisor to chief minister, Japu Deru called upon the HoDs, administrative officers and PR leaders to collectively share the responsibility and make concerted effort to implement the central and state flagship programmes.
“We have made the promise and now it is the time to deliver,” he said.
West Kameng DC Dr Sonal Swaroop said the ‘Sankalp Se Siddhi’ or attainment through resolve, aimed at good governance.
It envisages freeing the country from corruption, communalism, casteism, poverty, terrorism etc and by using technology it unites the country into a string, she said.
Sankalp Se Siddhi Tak member Maling Gombu also spoke.
On the occasion, representatives of various government departments highlighted the achievements and problems faced by them in the implementation of various welfare schemes.
The team will inspect schools, health and anganwadi centres and other projects in Bomdila, Bhalupong and Rupa. DIPRO
