Itanagar, Jan 21: A group of 45 students from Donyi-Polo Government College (DPGC) in West Siang district of Arunachal Pradesh experienced a journey through history during a ‘Heritage Walk’ at the iconic Qutub complex at Mehrauli.

The walk was led by Dr Lubna Irfan, an Assistant Professor of History from Aligarh Muslim University (AMU).

Themed "Evolution of Delhi," the walk aimed to immerse students in Delhi’s rich cultural and historical legacy.

Dr Irfan provided detailed insights into the architectural marvels and historical significance of the monuments within the Qutub complex, enriching the students' understanding of India’s vibrant past.

The event was part of DPGC’s annual educational tour to Delhi and Agra.

The students were accompanied by Assistant Professors Gektum Tangu (Geography), Dr Doge Ngomdir (Hindi) and Duli Ete (History).

Duli Ete, the coordinator of the walk, highlighted that the activity not only provided historical insights but also fostered meaningful cultural exchange between the faculty members of DPGC and AMU.

The heritage walk has proven to be a valuable educational experience, enabling students to connect with the nation's heritage while broadening their academic perspectives.
