BOMDILA, Jun 21: The West Kameng District Task Force, comprising the District Labour Officer, District Child Protection Officer, Protection Officer, Legal & Probation Officer, Chairperson of the Child Welfare Committee, and police personnel, conducted a one-day drive to check child labour within Bomdila township and along the national highway up to 6 Mile.

During the operation, the team inspected various establishments and sensitized hotel operators about the legal implications of employing children. They emphasized that anyone found guilty of engaging child labour would face prosecution as per the law. The drive aims to eradicate child labour and ensure the protection and welfare of children in the region.
