Itanagar, Jan 24: Health and Family Welfare minister Biyuram Wahge on Friday launched the official web portal of the Arunachal Pradesh Medical Council (APMC), arunapmc.org.

The portal aims to make life easier for doctors while ensuring the state's healthcare standards remain exemplary.

The launch event, held in Naharlagun, was attended by advisor to the minister Dr Mohesh Chai along with key members of the APMC executive council.

Addressing the occasion, Wahge called the initiative a “game-changer” for the medical community.

"This portal marks a significant step towards enhancing our healthcare system. It promotes transparency, efficiency, and accessibility for our medical professionals," he said, adding that it would act as a one-stop destination for services like registration, renewal, and professional updates.

He further emphasized the government’s commitment to supporting healthcare professionals and ensuring the highest standards of medical ethics and professionalism are upheld.

APMC registrar-cum-secretary Dr Mika Umpo provided an overview of the portal’s features.

"Doctors practicing modern medicine (allopathy) in Arunachal can now apply for fresh registrations, renewals, provisional registrations, and NOCs—all online. Additionally, organizations seeking accreditation for CME programs, workshops, and conferences can also process their applications through this digital platform," he explained.

Dr Umpo highlighted a major shift in policy: No more offline registrations.

"This is a fully digital transition, ensuring a smooth and hassle-free experience for medical professionals across the state," he added.

The launch program was attended by a distinguished gathering, including APMC president Dr Lobsang Tsetim, vice-president Dr Kesang Wangdi Thongdok, and other executive council members.

Dr Tsetim addressed the attendees, expressing gratitude to the government for its support.
