NAMSAI, Jun 20: A grand reception and felicitation ceremony was held today at Poi Pee Mau Ground in Namsai to honour deputy chief minister Chowna Mein on his maiden visit to Namsai district after being inducted for the third consecutive term. The event marked a moment of pride for the residents of Namsai district.

Mein was accompanied by Member of Parliament for East Arunachal, Tapir Gao, and Namsai MLA and advisor to the minister of RWD, Sports and Youth Affairs, Chau Zingnu Namchoom.

In his address, Mein reiterated his commitment to developing Parshuram Kund as a major tourist circuit and enhancing the overall development of Namsai district and Arunachal Pradesh. He emphasized the government's prioritization of the health and education sectors.

Following the reception at Poi Pee Mau Ground, another event was held at Chongkham Raj Vihara, organized by the local administration and the people of Chongkham. The gathering included representatives from various community-based organizations, village elders, women’s welfare societies, youth organizations, and the general public.

In addition to the receptions, Mein inaugurated the District Emporium in Namsai, funded by NITI Aayog under the Aspirational Programme.
