NAMSAI, Jun 20: Deputy Chief Minister (Dy CM) Chowna Mein on Thursday inaugurated the district emporium at Namsai during his maiden visit to the district after taking charge of the DyCM of the state for the fourth consecutive time.

The district emporium is funded by NITI Aayog under the Aspirational District Program and aims to empower local artisans and entrepreneurs by providing them with a dedicated space to showcase and sell their products. The initiative also seeks to promote the rich cultural heritage of the region.

Speaking on the occasion, Mein expressed his gratitude to the people of the state for giving a thumping majority to the BJP.

He also thanked the people for electing Tapir Gao as Lok Sabha member from the Arunachal East PC for a third time.

The Dy CM emphasised that Viksit Arunachal remains the sole objective of the government of Arunachal Pradesh in line with the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for Viksit Bharat.

In this pursuit, youth, women empowerment and upliftment of the rural and farmers’ economy will be prioritised, he said.

Mein said equal emphasis will be given to the development of the border areas at par with the foothills and plain areas of the state for equitable development of all regions.

He also said that a road map for overall development of the state in all sectors will be evolved under the leadership of chief minister Pema Khandu.

He added that the Modi 3.0 government will be action oriented and very fast and we have to be always on our toes.

The Dy CM reaffirmed the state government's commitment to creating a more prosperous, equitable, and sustainable development in the state.

Among others, Lok Sabha member Tapir Gao, Namsai MLA Chau Zingnu Namchoom, Namsai deputy commissioner CR Khampa, Namsai zilla parishad chairperson Urmila Mancheykun, Namsai district BJP president Chow Sujana Namchoom, HoDs, gaon buras, students and the general public attended the event.
