ITANAGAR, Jun 25: Arunachal Pradesh Building & Other Construction Workers’ Welfare Board (APB&OCWWB) chairman Rolen Dagam on Monday appealed to workers not to risk their lives.

Several houses and vehicles of labourers were damaged due to flood in Yagamso river, following the cloudburst.

Expressing concern over the loss of belongings and properties due to cloudburst on Sunday in Itanagar, Dagam expressed serious concern over it and appealed to labourers to remain alert and exercise extreme caution amid the monsoon.

The Board is committed to the safety of the workers, working in remote, inhospitable and tough locations, he said

Terming workers as builders of society and nation, he said due to workers our country is witnessing growth and development.

Disclosing that over 70,000 workers have registered themselves with the board, Dagam urged workers to register with the board soon to avail benefits.

Expressing dismay over the low registration of workers under the Border Roads Organisation, he appealed the workers to register their names to avail numerous benefits like maternity benefits, health, education, sports, etc.
