YINGKIONG, Jun 24: Officers and staffers of the Upper Siang DC’s office, Yingkiong have condoled the demise of political assistant Amut Nopi who passed away on June 22 at his residence in Haleng village here following a prolonged illness. Late Nopi was 57 years old.

A condolence meeting was held by the officials during which a moment of silence was observed as a mark of respect for the departed soul, and prayers were offered.

Late Nopi is survived by a son and two daughters. Born on December 4, 1966, he joined government service on August 23, 1999 as PI and was later promoted to political assistant.

Late Nopi was revered and loved by all for his sincerity and dedication. He was honored by the state government and district administration for his meritorious work. He also made a significant contribution by donating his precious tribal crafts and artifacts to the Upper Siang Tribal Museum, Yingkiong, for preserving the indigenous culture and traditions of the Upper Siang district for future generations.
