ITANAGAR, Jun 23: The sixth Vimarsh themed ‘Yoga: The Way of Life’ was organised at Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya (VKV) Chimpu near here on Saturday.

The event was organised by the Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Itanagar branch.

Tara Dajum, Assistant Professor of Government College, Yachuli, emphasized the profound significance of yoga.

Despite advancements in Science & Technology, and AI, society faces widespread health issues such as high blood pressure, diabetes, and stress, alongside interpersonal conflicts and global crises, he noted.

He underlined yoga as the solution rooted in Indian culture, embodying the philosophy of Vasudeva Kutumbakam (the world as one family).

Dajum stressed that yoga encompasses more than just physical postures of Asanas; it embodies a holistic way of life.

The session also included discussions on Vivek Vichar (Thoughts of Swami Vivekananda).

VKV Chimpu principal A Krishnan also spoke.
