PASIGHAT, Jun 26: East Siang deputy commissioner Tayi Taggu on Wednesday called for strict implementation of the COTPA 2003 in public spaces and for tobacco-free educational institutions.

Addressing members of the district level coordination committee of the District Tobacco Control Cell under the National Tobacco Control Programme and District Level Zoonotic Committee of National Rabies Control Programme here, the DC reckoned that robust information, education and communication (IEC) activities will be the backbone for the success of the programmes.
