ITANAGAR, Jun 28: The Arunachal Pradesh Engineering Service Association (APESA) has mourned the untimely demise of Public Health Engineering Department & Water Supply (PHED&WS) assistant engineer Majum Yumlam.

31-year-old, Yumlam, passed away recently.

He is survived by his wife, Yumlam Senia, their two sons, and three daughters.

Born to late Yumlam Tas and Yumlam Yaja in Yumlam Village, under Koloriang circle of Kurung Kumey district, he did his schooling from Itanagar government higher secondary school, and did his Diploma in Civil Engineering from Thiagarajar Polytechnic College, Salem, Tamil Nadu, in 2004.

Yumlam began his career with the PHED & WS department in 2005 and was promoted to assistant engineer of the Koloriang subdivision in 2022.

‘His premature passing away is a profound loss to his family, the engineering fraternity, and the state of Arunachal Pradesh. The void left by his absence will be deeply felt by all who knew him,’ APESA said in a condolence message.

‘His contributions to the department have been significant, reflecting his dedication and expertise in his field,’ it added.

Offering condolences to the bereaved family, the APESA has prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul.
