ITANAGAR, Jun 28: Governor KT Parnaik celebrated his 71st birthday with the children and officials of the Donyi Polo Mission School for Hearing and Visually Impaired in Chimpu. The governor was accompanied by the first lady of the state, Anagha Parnaik. Also present was former chief minister & chairman of Donyi Polo Mission, Gegong Apang.

During the visit, the governor and the first lady spent quality time with the children, interacting with them through special educators. The children conveyed their good wishes and shared their future hopes and aspirations with the first couple.

Addressing the students, whom he referred to as the "Shining Stars of Arunachal Pradesh," the governor assured them of continued support from both the state government and Raj Bhavan. He emphasized the importance of providing opportunities for these students to excel in various fields at the state and national levels. He praised the spirit of learning and human endurance displayed by the children, attributing their progress to the dedicated efforts of the Donyi Polo Mission School.

The governor promised to invite the students to Raj Bhavan on Children’s Day and other significant occasions. He also committed to providing better equipment and study materials for learning, training, and therapy for students with hearing and visual challenges.

The children presented a vibrant cultural program and a yoga demonstration in honor of the governor & the first lady.

Apang and principal Arbinda Dey expressed their gratitude for the governor's patronage and the provision of necessary furniture for the hostels.
