LIKABALI, Jun 30: The Spearhead Division of the Indian Army on Sunday conducted a mass plantation drive at Likabali military station here as a part of the 75th Vanmahotsav Week 2024 celebrations.

The Army had joined hands with the Lower Siang district administration for the celebrations.

As a part of the Vanmahotsav Week, the Army plans to plant 25,000 saplings and spread awareness on nature conservation.

Calling out for a fight against global warming, Colonel Sandeep Singh of the Likabali Military Station, highlighted the extent of damage human beings have done to nature.

“It is a small act for a big cause and for protecting our planet each one of us should plant at least one sapling at a time,” he said.

He said the Army is planning to conduct a mass plantation drive amid the monsoon during the Vanmahotsav Week in and around the military station here.
