PASIGHAT, July 3: Pasighat additional deputy commissioner T Pertin on Wednesday unveiled the pre-potential linked credit plan (PLP) and annual credit (ACP) for financial year 2024-25 for East Siang district.

The PLP and ACP have been prepared by NABARD and SBI’s Lead Bank office respectively.

Speaking on the occasion, Pertin urged line departments to expedite proposals under the Atma Nirbhar Krishi Yojana and Atma Nirbhar Bagwani Yojana, emphasizing timely subsidy applications.

He also urged bank branches and implementing departments to have proper coordination for promoting various schemes aimed at rural upliftment. He took a comprehensive review of all the ongoing schemes by the Centre and state government.

NABARD district development manager Nitya Mili highlighted that the credit potential under the priority sector is estimated at Rs 9240.83 lakh, with agriculture alone accounting for Rs 3275.39 lakh.

He said these plans are designed to guide optimal credit utilization for district development, addressing critical infrastructure gaps and linking support from government departments.

Mili encouraged banks to prioritize issuing Kisan Credit Cards (KCC) to farmers, particularly PM-Kisan beneficiaries, animal husbandry and fishery farmers.

He called upon all bank branches to organize Financial Literacy Camps on a regular basis and requested the lead district manager to convene the DCC/DLRCC meeting for every quarter.

SBI’s lead district manager Putul Basumatary presented the current CD ratio of 39.03% for the quarters ending March 2024. He praised the participants for their valuable contributions towards advancing financial inclusion and development goals in the district.

Earlier the district consultative committee (DCC) and district level review committee (DLRC) meetings were also conducted.

The meeting was attended by administrative officers, representatives of NABARD and RBI, branch managers of various banks, and HoDs.
