ITANAGAR, July 4: Doimukh MLA Nabam Vivek on Thursday expressed serious concern over the pathetic condition of government run schools in Doimukh circle of Papum Pare district.

The MLA, who visited government schools at Mani, Midpu I and II, lamented the poor conditions of schools.

During the visit, he found that the school buildings, and teacher’s quarters were in dire need of repair and maintenance.

He appealed to the Education department to provide adequate funds for renovation of school buildings.

Vivek said providing proper education is one of his top priorities.

Educating the youth is important as they are the future of society, he said.

The MLA said quality education can be achieved or imparted only by creating a good learning environment for children including proper facilities for teaching staff.

“I have instructed the department to carry out renovations, fix electrical wirings and toilets,” he said.
