NAMSAI, July 4: Sampoornata Abhiyan, a three-month campaign to undertake sustained effort to achieve saturation of six key performance indicators in Aspirational District Program (ADP) and Aspirational Block Program (ABP), under NITI Aayog was launched in Chongkham CD block on Thursday.

The launch of the campaign, which will continue till September 30 next, saw the ceremonial release of tricolour balloons and Sampoornata Abhiyan t-shirt.

Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein urged all government departments, panchayat leaders and the general public to cooperate for 100 percent saturation of the six key performance indicators (KPIs).

He also asked the district administration to hold period review in a week or bi-monthly to monitor the progress of the campaign.

Mein said he himself would be monitoring the progress and take part in monthly review meetings.

The deputy chief minister welcomed young professional Shan Muhammad, from the NITI Aayog to Chowkham.

Later, Mein inaugurated the KPI saturation stalls put up by departments.

Namsai deputy commissioner CR Khampa briefed the participants on the ADP and ABP, and emphasized working on a 3-tier model namely, Convergence, Collaboration and Competition.

He also announced ADP and ABP delta ranking for January 2024 and September 2023 respectively wherein under ADP, Namsai secured 13th position, out of 112 Aspirational Districts and under ABP, Chongkham secured 297th position, out of 500 Aspirational Blocks across the country.

Divulging details on NITI Aayog’s six focused key performance indicators, Khampa sought cooperation from government departments/agencies and the general public to achieve the set target of saturation by September 30 next.

The inaugural event was followed by four breakout sessions wherein soil mitra, anganwadi workers, ASHAs and self-help group members were sensitized and apprised of the action plan to achieve saturation.

The event was attended by officers from various departments including Health, Agriculture, Horticulture, ICDS, ArSRLM, Piramal Foundation, gaon buras, panchayat leaders and the general public.

In Pongchau, Longding deputy commissioner Bekir Nyorak launched the Sampoornata Abhiyan at Pongchau block.

The DC administered Sampoornata pledge to the participants followed by a briefing on the campaign.

The campaign for Pongchau Aspiration Block started with a marathon race flagged off by Pongchau SDO.

The campaign aims to ensure intensive and focused achievement of six key performance indicators across sectors in the aspiration block in three months.

As a part of the event, Pongchau Subdivisional officer chaired a special gram sabha to deliberate on the challenges, targets and action plans, which would be pursued by all concerned and monitored at all levels.

In this regard, the gram sabha also passed a resolution.

A coordination meeting of all block level officials was also conducted to chalk out the detailed action plan for effective evaluation and monitoring.

Later, the DC inspected various schools and took stock of the conditions of the schools.
