ITANAGAR, July 5: Lok Janshakti Party (R) chief Chirag Paswan is slated to visit Arunachal Pradesh in September to inaugurate the state party headquarters, informed state LJP (R) president Riba Pangia on Friday.

Paswan, who also serves as the Union Minister of Food Processing & Industries, has agreed to inaugurate the new state party office located at 6-Kilo near here.

Pangia disclosed that the state party's executive members held a meeting with the minister in New Delhi on July 4, focusing on enhancing the LJP (R)'s presence in Arunachal Pradesh.

"With the official opening of our state party headquarters, we aim to enhance the operational capabilities of our organization," Pangia emphasized.

Chirag Paswan, known for his significant electoral victory in Bihar's Hajipur Lok Sabha constituency, defeating RJD's Shiv Chandra Ram by a margin of over 6 lakh votes, currently serves as the National President of LJP (R) and holds the portfolio of Union Minister of Food Processing & Industries in the Modi government.

In 2014, LJP (R) joined the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), led by the BJP.
