ITANAGAR, July 5: In a significant initiative aimed at supporting the educational aspirations of police personnel's children, the Capital Police, in collaboration with Lalan’s Coaching Centre, Itanagar, launched Project “Saksham” here on Friday.

This project is tailored to prepare meritorious students for the NEET-2025 examination.

Under the “Saksham” project, a ten-month intensive coaching program has been initiated, combining academic training and counselling. Seven students, all offspring of police personnel serving across the state, have been selected for this initiative. Notably, five students have been granted full fee waivers as part of the project's scholarship scheme.

The launch event, held at the SP Office, included an orientation programme where selected students were encouraged to pursue excellence in their academic pursuits.

Capital superintendent of police, Shri Rohit Rajbir Singh, and representatives from Lalan’s Coaching Centre delivered motivational speeches, emphasizing the importance of dedication and perseverance in achieving academic success.

SP Singh expressed confidence in the students' potential and assured continued support from both the Capital Police and Lalan’s Coaching Centre throughout their preparation for the NEET exam.

“This initiative aims not only to empower the students but also to set a precedent for future beneficiaries of similar educational opportunities,” he said.
